Lucy Wang lives in New York City. She grew up in Taiwan and was born in Cambridge UK
Lucy seeks to create furniture design experiences that consider the needs of the human body. She finds inspiration from moments of her daily routine—from practicing yoga to shopping at a farmers market to observing moss and rocks in a forest. She considers design work as the backdrop for the rituals of life.
In 2019, she earned her Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. She took the Retail Design Course in the 2018 Summer at Elisava, Barcelona School of Design and Engineering, Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She earned her degree in Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology in 2016. From 2016 to 2018, she volunteered for the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and was the Student Representative to the Board of the New York Metro Chapter. She is certified NCIDQ, WELL AP, and LEED Green Associate, and is a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
